New extension measuring 13,000 sqm
The project involved the complete renovation of an existing shopping mall, including the addition of 13,000 sqm of new construction. The new centre includes boutiques, restaurants, a food court and a hypermarket, over three floors with a gross area of 46,000 sqm.
The renovation included cutting the first-floor slab and constructing a double-curved structural steel canopy. The canopy spans the central atrium and measures 20m deep by 70m long. The front of the atrium features a spider system, frameless double-glass wall 30m wide by 10m high.
Deluxe finishes and marble wall and floors were used. Two existing water towers were completely renovated, painted and decorated with GRC panels.

Electrical Works
he electrical works commenced with the dismantling and relocation of existing electrical items, the repair and modification of existing sub-main distribution boards and the inspection and servicing of six existing 1,500kVA transformers. The electrical works included the supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the new main and sub-main switchboards, six new 2,500A main distribution boards, all power cables from substation to main building and a fire-alarm system, earthing network and lightning-protection system.
